Testometer...Measuring and Improving Testing Skills.

Off late, I have been thinking on what skills make a tester good tester and how these skills can be learned, practiced or improved? This is not a new field and people like James Bach have been working on it from quite some time. In fact I got interested in this subject after I came in contact with him..

Testometer, came into existence for my own learning on the subject of testing skills and to get feedback from testing community on whether techniques like these are effective or not. As of now there is only one test in Testometer, thats because Testometer is young only 2 days old as of now, but idea is to have more applications like these where people can practice their testing skills, get some information on how they are performing and what area they are missing... Initial focus of applications in Testometer will be to give feedback on the data users are providing.. whether they have covered sufficient classes of data, whether they are duplicating their data and so on.. I know at this point of time it is very simplistic and testing in real world is probably much more complex than this.. Nevertheless, even in its infancy, Testometer gives information on the various classes of data that can be used in a given situation which is a good exercise..

In future, I am planning to add more situations, more applications and more interactivity in the Testometer. I am banking on the user feedback to improve this, so far I have received good response and people are happy with the idea. I am open for every suggestion in terms of different application types, different types of questions, Different ways of evaluating user supplied data and presenting results.. your suggestions are welcome here.
